I need an enormous torque wrench for my front crank and my little 3/8"ths one that goes up to 115 ft/lbs won't cut it. I need to tighten this bolt to 305 ft/lb per FSM. I have checked Napa, Autozone and Home Depot for rentals and they only go up to 250 ft/lb. Any ideas where I can find this unicorn?

Thanks!

Smitty

Did you check the tool rental shops near you? I know the one near would have torque wrenches but maybe not this big,
Plus, I would check with Fasteners for the South because they have industrial grade tools and tool services. If they don't rent a wrench with this capacity, they might be able to direct you to someone that does.
Good luck

I have 3/4 drive that goes to 300.
It's about 36" long so you need a lot of room.
My 3/4 to 1/2 adapter is currently MIA

I know @rc51kid needed a 300+ ft/lb torque wrench a month ago or so, maybe he can chime in with where he picked his up since I think he borrowed /rented it

Assuming you weigh 150Lbs, put all yer weight on the end of a 2ft breaker bar

Scott: if you can wait till I get back on the 19th I have a 600ft/lb Toyota torque wrench you can borrow.

@rc51kid used my torque wrench.
Thanks for the offer beno, I was able to borrow one from a generous forum member. Everything on my list is now done...except installing the new radiator and putting the battery back in and mounting the new winch solenoid...does it ever end, lol.

Best,

Smitty
