There is a very good APP that works with Android phones called the Torque App.
Torque can be use to monitor the electronic Engine Sensors.

I have it with my 2002 LX470 but am a little concerned what I am seeing with the
Long Term Fuel Trim Bank1 (LTFT1) and Long Term Fuel Trim Bank2 (LTFT2) sensors.
On my 2002 LX470 LTFT1 and LTFT2 gyrates quite a bit from 10 to 0.
Closer to 0 is optimal. Driving on level ground at a steady speed bot LTFT1 and LTFT2
do stay pretty steady and close to 0.

When I use this APP with my 2000 Isuzu Trooper both LTFT1 and LTFT2
don't gyrate as much as with the LX470. I'm wondering if the ECM feedback loop is slower to
respond on the Lexus -- or perhaps I have a problem somewhere like say a sluggish to respond
O2 sensor.

If you use this APP, how do your Fuel Trim sensors behave?????

Sh*t?
No one here uses the ELM327 OBD2 interface and the Android Torque smartphone APP?
Am I in a crowd of iPhone users? Still on CB radios and phone patch Ham gear?
Don't get offended - just messing with you.
You guys are missing out on something great tool for monitoring and diagnosing
Engine problems.

I use both the Toyota Tech Stream and the Torque App. For basic OBD2 the Torque App is
much easier because you don't have to use a Microsoft OS waiting for it to finally boot up.

Give folks some time to respond before you have a fit. I have a different OBD plugin that the ELM, but regularly see those types show up on Amazon or Ebay for under $15. I also use Torque to read CEL. None of my own yet, usually just friends and neighbors so far.

I have both and use them in a personal setting for trip logs, for example. I also use it as a quicker scanner for diagnosing my clients trucks, I have not had any issue with data logging or real time interference. Try resetting your profile, with the appropriate settings within.

I spend hours and hours making the mount and by the time I was done already forward the password (From the OBD reader to the Gallazy IV), anybody has a hint how to retrieve them...

I have it but have only really used it to read and erase CEL codes. I've played with it a little on occasion but I'm usually driving my vehicle and don't care to be distracted. It's a decent tool for the money, think I paid 20 bux for it.

I have a cheapskate trick..

Phones are crazy expensive, tablets can be really expensive, but sometimes people get a table with their phone contract, then change carriers and have no used for it anymore..

In mu case I got super lucky, a Samsung Galazy tab 4 (8inch) with a Verizon contract, Bum the kiddo changes contract, don't need the tablet anymore, $40m in the box full with charger, instructions, protective case and ready for out network..

I agree they can be distraction for all the mapping in great, so the co-piot can use it.

It can be place anywhere in reference to the base to about 50" away, so right in front of the passenger space.

It can go much farther to the right..

Manfrodo equipment is the boom.

Semi folded.

Or if you need it off, just Spin the knob (Top right) on the base the whole Crane is gone in about 20 seconds.

I don't recall what Bluetooth adapter I have, but I watched these fuel trims out of curiosity on my drive from Kansas to Colorado last night.

The trim values react nearly instantaneous with the throttle and remain steady at -0.60. When a quick spike in the throttle is present (or throttle removed ) the values jump to 6 then settle back down around 0 real quick. Bank 1 is marginally slower to react. Please keep in mind, I don't have a clue how long the O2 sensors have been installed or what make they are. I bought the 100 with 246k in January and just passed 268k.

I use the torque app with an android phone but only use it for monitoring engine coolant temp, IAT, GPS speed and RPM.
