Tornado Alley Cruisers (Kansas) - Daylight Savings Run - 10/28 - 10/31/04

We are having our annual Daylight Savings Run at the Tuttle Creek ORV park near Randolph, Kansas, Halloween weekend. A few of us will be wandering in on Thursday, October 28th, most will arrive the 29th or 30th. We will be camping at the Fancy Creek Campground, which is NE of the Hwy 16 bridge over Tuttle Creek.

Easy to moderate wheeling for bone stock to modified rigs. Newbies are welcome. This is a family-friendly event as well.

Last year it dropped into the low 20's. Yippee!!!

See you there. :D

I can't make it but want to wheel with you guys sometime. I am in the KC area but have not gotten to wheel anywhere close since moving here. Have you guys been to KC rocks yet?

Several of us have been to KS Rocks a few times. It is not really wagon friendly, unless body damage isn't an issue. It also is treacherous if it has rained recently. Other than that, it has some fun areas to wheel.

Keep your eyes open for trail rides - I'll try to post them both here and on the PBB. Also, our club will be meeting in January in Blue Springs.

Could anyone of you guys post a link to a map on how to get there or better dirrections. Thanks.

Try this link for info & directions to the OHV park - http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/tuttlecreek/offroad.htm

Randolph, KS is just a few miles from the ORV. Where in Iowa are you located? I80 west to Hwy 77 south to Randolph might be an easy route. I'd check mapquest or mappoint.

Shoot, I was just there last weekend! I didn't realize TAC was having another run down there this year.

I-80 then south on Hwy 77 to KS-16 which is on the north side of Randolph, head east a couple miles and there will be 2 entrances to Fancy Creek campground on the N side of the highway. The campground is NW of the big bridge so if you hit the bridge, then turn around.

I saw a Sami with open diffs on 31's do the rock garden at the staging area last weekend, I couldn't believe it made it.

If I wasn't already committed to the Gambol I'd head up for it. I'll make it up for one of your runs soon. My family is all in Topeka so it'd be a good excuse for me to go for a visit and get in a little wheeling too. :D
