hey guys looking at putting a thermo fan on my top mount intercooler just wondering what is the best direction to go, put the fan on top of the cooler to force air through it or put the fan underneath it and suck air through?

cheers in advance

In my case was a matter of space so I gotta go on top with the fan ( pusher ) but most of the Australia kit place the fan under the top mounted IC .. dunno if there is any real advantage on that ..

I was under the impression it was better to have the fan underneath so as not to block airflow at highway speeds with the fan.

Going to second the spal fans. My cross country top mount initially came with some knock off brand and was dead within a 1.5 years. I called cross country and they said go with a spal, they gave me a part number and I forwarded it to my local spal dealer. He didn't have one of the part numbers in stock but had another with the same dimensions and pulled more cfm:D It's been running strong for 2 plus years!

I need to buy a puller fan. Anyone notice a difference in EGTs since installing a puller fan?

Yes, although I don't remember the numbers but they are noticeably enough that even at freeway speeds I could tell. The temps are what made me realize my first fan died.
