Hey guys,
Its been a little while since I posted. Life, and work calls.. booo!

But I thought I'd ask some of you guys where I should take my 88' FJ62 in for a top end and or head gasket leak... My trucks been running hot right after warm up, roughly the first 10- 15 minutes of operation. After this peak in temp (middle of the last section before the red) then it returns to slightly over normal operating temp.

since the weather has been so nice I've been riding my motorcycle for a month or two, sorta keeping the cruiser on the backburner and now she's pissed. Or at least running really hot and leaking more oil.

I'm not confident I could pull it off completelty, but I want to keep the truck, and or give some dough to the right people (not the stealership)

Probably bad timing with the FG coming up and everyone having projects of their own. :o
any suggestions?

thanks guys.

well kiddies,
today the truck was running really warm so i had to drive it right to herb chambers in boston off brighton ave.

$8200

and they weren't very convincing it was a headgasket, sounded more like they were parroting back what I told them what I thought it was.

$8200 i could rebuild 2 engines for that price
i could buy a brand new supercharged engine and have money to put it in

8thousand two hundred
are you s***ting me??:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

haven't done a ton of diagnostic, just the usual suspects. The truck has recently developed a top end leak... Right by the EFI.
Before it was below right by the oilpan, and easy to monitor, and kept the front end from rotting out.

No signs of cross contamination. Oil looks as it should.

I am assuming these are/were coolant leaks by my amazing powers of deduction :D You probably are right that it is a H.G. however, I would suggest you inspect the hose connections and common leak areas before admitting deteat. Coolant likes to run along joints, seams and such making them appear that they are leaking.
