I just did my rear brakes, and I'm wondering if these anti-rattle brake clips are top/bottom specific.
I know they are left/right specific, but I wonder if anything makes them top/specific.

Can't really tell from the exploded diagram, but my guess would if there is an interference fit in one direction and not in the other.

I watched this guy upgrade his rear brakes today, and in his video, his clips are left/right directional, but also, top/bottom directional. I was wondering if the OEM ones are also top/bottom directional.

I just got an extra set for both sides and put them on the top and bottom. Then, I lost one during my last brake upgrade. So one side has 2 clips and the other has 1 clip. The clips themselves are not directional and are identical.

My brake pads don't rattle at all :).

When I did mine i thought it wasn't too hard to separate where they went. Just a much more nuanced version of square peg in square hole and round leg in round hole. I used a cheap parts store version.
