That was an all original 78 with 22k miles that sold on ebay for $31,800 a few weeks ago. So, yeah, its a scam.

Its listed in Boston and a bunch of other states as well.

They always seem to like the 3900, 4900 and similar prices.

They forgot an extra 0 on Craigslist

SOLD...I'll take it! The low priced version. Lol. :D

Well that solves that problem. Saw that on Craigslist in LA a couple days ago and emailed and never got a response. Was gonna be a steal

Now I know.

So what thrill do people get out of posting such crap as this on craigslist? Something like "MADE YOU LOOK"?

Maybe there is just a surplus of these same exact beautiful survivors all across the country... Not.

You wouldn't believe how many people get scammed like this. IN the past few weeks there have been around 2-300 FJ40 ads posted all over Craigslist from NY to CA.

They get the same old story how either they are in the military or they are moving back to Europe and thats why they are selling so cheap.

It kind of breaks your heart when you read some of the people who got scammed by these POS.

I'm surprised people go for this stuff. Generally if it sounds to good to be true it probably is! I hate to see people get scammed out of hard earned money.

Actually, the original E-Bay seller stated it had 124K miles, so I'm baffled how 100K got erased from the listed odometer count. Love the games played with 5-digit odos.

Let me preface what follows with - I never saw the original eBay listing & what the seller listed as actual mileage.

Having said that - I'd be very surprised, if TLC was knowingly lying about the mileage on this truck, in order to make a profit.

The value of their reputation, is far more important, than any profit they'd make, on selling this one truck,.... Not to mention, that profit, would be immaterial to their annual sales.

Perhaps I'm wrong - But I just can't see them intentionally lying, about the mileage of this truck, or any truck.

Cheers!

I wonder what scammers have with Landcruisers, feel like I'm always seeing a landcruiser scam at least once a week. Dang shame.
