It started out as an innocent drive to the mountains with a friend to test out his new derringer. Then we got stuck. Not just the regular kind of stuck, hella stuck. We had to hike down the mountain until our cell phones had service (Yeah, I know! Right when you need it, they don't work!) to call for help. Okay, now I don't care what you guys think, but my Dad's Jeep is awesome. You heard me, AWESOME! Anyway, he pulled me out. Here's pics:

looks better than my driveway...but that's in N idaho.
My wifes subaru coulda pulled that out. Just giving a hard time.

I've been stuck like that before.

We got a tractor out there pulling on me and then the tractor got stuck lol

Silly stock suspension.

Ended up having to put boards rocks and grass under my tires so I could get out also in addition to the tractor pulling with transfer in 4 low and a second gear start haha

sounds like a fun day :)

I could see how he got stuck. DS rear spinning and PS front spinning with open diffs means no forward movement.

Get a high lift! That definitely would have helped.

Your dad's jeep pulled you off but a locker would do the work even better! lift and tires would also help in that situation.. cool story

high lift jack and or bigger tires and you woulda had no problems getting out on your own.

so did your friend get to shoot the new gun?

Get a lift kit, and slap some mud terrains on there and you'll be set, or even just the tires and you'll get most places you want to go.:hillbilly:

I will admit that it was completely my fault, I was just goofing off and didn't expect those stream beds to be so deep. My diff's weren't touching the ground, but it was so flexed it wasn't getting any traction to the tires that needed it. And my bug deflector doubled as a tree deflector. And Yes! we did get to shoot the new gun! :) Here's some more pics of it:

Glad you got out fine but why didn't you have any equipment to help yourself like a shovel (IMO everyone should carry one) or even a piece of wood to wedge under a tire. Highlift would definitely help. Just throw them in the back and keep them with you so you'll be prepared for next time.

Next time you head into a tough spot, Just turn up the radio and mash down the go pedal. The Cruiser will pull through.

Haha! I would crank the radio if it worked. I did have a shovel, and I dug like crazy, and found several logs but they were too slimy. I think the only thing I lack in my recoverey gear is a high-lift though. For sure need to pick me up one of those.

nice I miss those days ..... lift, lockers and tires my friend add them to your to do list :steer:

X2 on user error, X2 on the hi-lift, X2 on the shovel, better tires would have help. Here we don't have snow but we have a lot of rain forests, that means ungodly amounts of liquified mud. If we go off road , those items mentioned above are a must. A CB radio helps also.:steer:
