Does anybody have some input on how to properly de pin the small pins and/or know of any de pinning tool that works best? It looks like most of the pins just need to be removed and thoroughly cleaned and I want to make sure I don’t damage anything in the process. I’ve looked around on google and haven’t come across this style connector with pins this small.

I haven’t done these but I did do a bunch of ECU pins on a number of different vehicles, and those are probably even smaller.

My go-to tool in this case is a set of 7 small jewelers screwdrivers I got a while back on Amazon. They no longer sell this specific set but I’m sure you can find others.

The little jewelers tools typically have a hardened steel extension that can manipulate the tabs without breaking or bending. There will still be a bit of finesse involved.. like pushing the pin inward to release tension on the tab before trying to release it.. but it should get the job done.

I did find specialty harness connector pin tools typically too large for this kind of connector. I’m sure Toyota has something available as a SST but they really should change the name to $$T.

I've had very good luck with these, Wiha makes excellent screwdrivers and other small tools. You can get them on Amazon.
