Hey all, Ive been lurking mostly here, good group, neat trucks.
I have an 88 FJ62 that came to me a while back, It grew on me alot. It was gold, I redid it Red & white, going for a retro surfy kinda thing, came out nice (Im a painter).
Our family needs call for a bit of regrouping vehicle wise, & Im thinking I may need to let this one go, although I like it, I need bigger.
It is super clean, only rust it had was a 2 or 3 inch spot at dogleg rear wheel well area.

Interior is mint, small crack on driver seat outter side.
It has 280,000 miles, but runs like a top, the 4 speed auto shifts well, has a leaky frt seal that Ill pull trans & fix before I sell most likely.

100 percent original pretty much.

Whats this truck worth, I see prices all over the map.......... Not looking to get rich.

Its dirty in the pics I have a bit, but whe clean, it gleams, & is dead strait.

wheres it located?
by that I mean, they blue book around $2000, but your location might up the price a bit. I've seen from around $1800 to like $7000 depending on condition. People go crazy, I'd say maybe in the 3-4k range if its in pretty good condition? pretty high mileage.

Im in Maryland between Baltimore & Frederick in Mount Airy. The mileage is way up there. The previous owner (out of 2) kept it maintained, reg oil changes, trans flushes, etc.
Only thing I really have to go by is Ebay, where a higher milage one thats nice will bring 5-7K & Cool Cruisers where the private classifieds range wide from 2-7 or 8. I get the idea the rust factor outweighs mileage.
I just figure you guys have seen alot of these come & go.

Thanks, Jeff

Up here (alaska) I see most 60/2s go for around 2-5k in decent condition. we don't have the rust problem as much really. If it's mint try finding another cruiser guy or ebay it?

There's a third seat option which may be had ... might be a cheaper way to go, buy it and bolt it in ... dunno.

I'm in Silver Spring, if I can be of any help.

Cheers,
Cahil

P.S. Your gonna miss it as soon as you sell it ! :D

nice truck. i think a fair price would be around $2750 firm. looks like it needs new tires. if you hold out, you could get $4k i bet.

the low side of 3, would be good for you, probably have to do some "fishing" to get more.
the miles are high, even for a cruiser. a rebiuld will/should be in the near future for both the engine and tranny(might as well do the transfer too).

Thank for all the replies. The tires are accually newish, michilens (sp?), or would have all terrians on it already, just couldnt see taking them off till I wore them in.

As far as motor, the owner before me, got it with over 200,000 according to title when I got it, he put 70,000 on it. I have no idea, the first owner ,may have had motor rebuilt or replaced in that 200,000 mles, it really runs good, I just cant say honestly.

Rockville guy, Ill PM you, I work in Rockville ......small world ;-)

Thanks guys, Jeff

Heres my last build I did on the wifes conv cutlass if anyones into peppy stuff
