I have an 10/85 production date on my FJ60. I am going to order new suspension that has a delineation between Pre and Post 10/85 cruisers. Their explaination is unclear to me, can anyone tell me what I need to look out for so I get the right kit on the first go around.:)

I'm going the cheap route and getting the Ironman set-up on Ebay.

If you are just going springs go to man-a-fre's website and order either the OME Dakar or MAF Safari springs and OME shocks and just use your old u-bolts. Price is within $50 of what you ar looking at on Ebay plus you get a well known and liked supplier and someone who is going to back up their product. If you want new u-bolts pony up another $49 and you are set.

I tried to link to the Ironmans website and it didn't work.

You should always replace your u-bolts if you are replacing springs. They are relatively cheap, and more improtantly they hold the spring to the axle -- a very important job. ;)

Shock Bolt size

Only difference Iknow of is the shock bolts or studs (Front) are different sizes before and after late 85 manufactor dates.

Check out the OME Shocks on MAF site. Not the "kit" info but the info page like you were going to buy individual shocks. they have either the fronts or rears that you have to buy according to the mauufactor date. Self explainitory once you look at it.

Could be Just the maufactorer of your system made some change too..So hope this helps.
