Although I know Vancouver Island does not have near the cruisrs the rest of Canada or US have, BUT I would like to figure out a way to increase membership on the island.

Crusty in Victoria has started a TLCA chapter and they are winging the whole thing.

Could thier be a template sent out helping new chapters get started?

Some literature would be a good start, maybe some mags to drop off at toyota, or even maybe I could approach toyota about putting the odd restoration with TLCA stickers on it?

Not in any way looking to pimp my biz and would like to see more people being aware of the organization, I honestly think most new FJ owners would truly enjoy the magazine fully.

Looking for ideas???

Rob

one of the denver dealerships buys tlca memberships for new fj owners because a rising sun member talked to them about the association. definitely talk to your local dealership.

just an idea ... could be nice ,in our member profile, to know when our tlca membership finish no ?

I think it's hilarious that this calls for a gavel. I knew I was missing something at all those Rising Sun meetings.

Ours is gonna be a 4lb BFH and an Anvil when we have our first meeting of 07':grinpimp:

Mark,

I have a nonbroken coarse spline one you can have. Let me know if you want it. I was going to make it into an award but this sounds like a more interesting purpose.

David Dearborn had some great ideas, like giving away TLCA memberships with completed work or sales through the shop.

Could this be done on behalf of my customers by me?

Rob

Okay, gonna offer some memberships via work done.

Been dogin Woody for a banner to hang in the new shop, hows about a TLCA banner I can hang????????????????????????????

I am not familar with swamp donkeys and have never been with Coastal cruisers, however Vancouver Island has its own new VI Cruiser club which I am affiliated with.
