Hey guys,

A few of us here in Bozeman are working on getting a TLCA chapter set up. It appears that we have the requisite 5 TLCA members needed to get one started. If anyone else is interested in participating, please post up. For now we are all in and around Bozeman but we certainly want to include anyone and everyone who is interested in joining. We hope to start with a meeting in the next few weeks in order to move forward. Hope to hear from you all soon! Feel free to reply to the thread, PM me or email me at sbajkiewicz@gmail.com

Count me in, though at the rate I'm coming on the 40 it might be a 10 year resto instead of 2. Let me know

I don't think this summer would be good for me to get into something like this but down the road perhaps.

@samh It won't require much time, if that is your concern. You can participate as much or as little as you can and/or want. The more people on the club roster the better....

@samh Sam, our next step is to have a meeting with all prospective members. We are hoping to plan that meeting for the sometime in the next two weeks or so. I will post up again in the next couple of days with a time and place.

Great, I'll see if I and another buddy can make it. I didn't get an email reply to the previous posts but I did get one to this one (probably because you tagged me). I'm not super regular at the Mud forums but I'll try to stay in touch.

There's been talk about a TLCA Montana Chapter for years and I think that now is the time to make it happen. We don't envision it to be a burden on anyone, but if anything to bring some cohesiveness to our group. The desire is to connect Land Cruiser and Toyota 4WD owners together for the obvious reasons of the cruiser brotherhood/sisterhood if you will, organized trail rides, club meetings, support, community service, and most of all family friendly fun for all. Participate closely or from a distance. It will be whatever you wish to make it. But if you've ever had an inkling to do this, let's do it now!

You can add me to the roster also. I live in Billings and have a goofy work schedule so I'm not sure how many meetings I would be able to make. I'd still like to join, though.

when I talked with the regional rep a few years ago, I was told then that TLCA would like to see a local club started and be active for a year or so before becoming a TLCA chapter. As there were a few chapters that started strong and fizzled out shortly after starting. TLCA wanted to see a track record/ history of a club that was capable of lasting.
The rep told me he would provide a list of all current TLCA members in our region, ie 200 mile radius, as not everyone is on mud.
I'm all for it, but similar to everyone else time constraints can be an issue.

I actually got a list of names from the regional guy of people who were members of TLCA, Lots of folks join then get on Mud and let their membership go, I know there were more guy's from Montana on the old mailing list LCML 10 years ago, like Rich Sturgeon, I think he is old like me now and dosent play much. But it would be good to see what is there now. i have recruited lots of members over the years but retention is bad and there are not many that want to join a state wide club when they have local groups to wheel with. It's complicated in a state like Montana with lots of space and few people.

Hi guys. I apologize for the late post. I started talking with bagofchips76 a few weeks ago about starting this chapter. I had a nice talk with Perry, the current VP of the TLCA. He is very excited to see a montana chapter get started. We basically need 5 TLCA members, a club name and a set of bylaws and submit it to him. During the next monthly meeting we will get voted in and gain status. At that point, we can start reaching out to people not on mud and gain a membership. I think the possibilities with a club like this are exciting. Although we will need to have some logistical help getting started and a few people to take on some key roles, this should be an easy club for everyone interested to participate in. Look for a follow up post about a meeting time and day to get things going.
