Daryl or Art, Will this deal extend my BRC memberhip? Can I opt out of the magazine? I really don't need any more and I don't think TLCA needs any reason continue on it's destructive path of printing more then it needs or can ever sell. Is the multi-year option available with this promotion? Not saying I'd do that but just curious.

Yes, this deal with either allow one to join, renew, or extend membership in either TLCA and/or BRC for one year. There is no multi-year option. The magazine is an entirely different subject and no changes or options are built into this offer. So, in your case, for $40 you will extend your current TLCA membership and your BRC membership for one additional year and should recieve a $25 gift card from 4WheelParts during the first part of the promotion. The 4WheelParts offer is limited to the first month or two so you will need to act quickly if you want that $25 bump. I'm sure more details will follow and, in fact, all current TLCA members should recieve a mailing with detailed information within a few weeks. Hope that helps. - D

I'm sure Kowboy "could" follow Roberts Rules of Parlimentary Procedure in conducting the necessary meetings but getting him to do so would prolly be akin to getting most of us to buy a Jeep..............wait......

Some of the things that I read last night was that the TLCA sanctions events and provide insurance for them.

On one of the threads it was discussed and questioned if the TLCA organized any events.
...which was answered in the same way as mentione above "the TLCA only sanctions and Provide Insurance for the events."


...may be the TLCA should host an event, get in contact with the people and recruit some new members
make them feel that they're part of the TLCA and not just the Local chapter

... that my fellow friends would be LEADERSHIP!

TLCA only hosts Rubithon. Rubithon is actually planned and run by three clubs in California in TLCA's name. The TLCA Board of Directors has not made a decision, approved a budget, or coordinated anything for Rubithon in the last six years.

That's not leadership or participation.... that's delegation.
TLCA doesn't do any work. TLCA is a group of chapter clubs.

see www.gatorevent.com that's essentially what GATOR was...bunch of folks coming to-gether to put on a TLCA OPEN event. Only had 63 trucks but it'll be bigger next time I'm sure of it. Even had a few Jeep's there. Unlike the Southern Cruiser Crawl a few weeks later, we didn't have rafting trips...
