It would need a provincial if it was out of province or if the cops gave it a V.I. before it was rebuilt. When I bought my 42 it had a VI on it and i had to have it inspected once i fixed all the things that they found wrong.
It's on usedvic now.... wonder why it needed a provincial inspection

I understand the Reasons why for a VI... just curious why it wasn't listed due to the price

Very nice truck here. Not perfect but well kept. It was an out of province insp. The seller is a good guy too.

Intercooled 1KZTE with manual transmission. Would be great in a 4Runner, Toyota pickup, 40 series, Prado, etc. The intercooled version of these motors have a good reputation and 145hp@3600rpm 250ft/lb@2000rpm. Had I found this a a few weeks ago I may have bought it for my LJ78.

That is some fancy grill guard going on there.

Great deal if anyone wants to make a Toyota V8 Cruiser. Third and last revision of the epic Lexus 4.0L 1UZFE motor. All aluminum. Gets amazing fuel economy. VVTI, coil over plug, 290hp 310lb/ft torque. Perfect motor for many swaps including sports cars. By parting out the rest of the car, the motor would be free. I should really be buying it and keeping that motor for a rainy day. It's 10min from my house...

Would that be a complicated conversion for your truck? I would think any extra costs would be offset by selling
the diesel. What about computers - compatible?

Mechanically not bad at all; virtually bolt in. But yes, the wiring would be a lot of work. That is the nice thing about starting with a complete donor vehicle though. I think I could easily break even on the swap with selling my motor/intercooler/meth etc. Finding the time however...not sure I have it.

Looks like they're still up for sale...

2 options, Twin turbo the 2H, or Buy em both and sell one to you guys

A single one of those won't flow nearly enough for your motor. As I've said before, no point in doing two when there are many single (and very affordable) turbos out there that would easily out perform the old Toyota turbos. Talk to Gerg (Coastal Cruisers), he is a great turbo expert. He can give you lots of advice, and may even have a setup that would suit your motor.

One thing to remember Jordan, is the pistons on 2H motors often succumb to boost, as the ring lands are quite weak. Especially on a high km motor. So a rebuild before you turbo might be something to consider. Sourcing a low km 12HT is probably the ultimate option, as you won't have to rebuild, and the motor comes with a turbo, and more efficient/robust direct injection design.

Thank you for the word of warning, Nick.

I dont plan to run any more than 20lbs of boost, as im told the 2H can only go up to 24lbs

As per that photo of the ring lands, I would really like to know the circumstances that caused it to have such excessive wear
