Lets keep on track fellas, I'll give somebody a pizza to weld up a twin turbo manifold for the 2h

Is there any kind of bracketry needed to install that chrome bar for the 80? I have an friend with an FJ80 and he was
asking if I know of any ARB style bumper that anyone has for his truck. He just wants a bit of front end protection.

It has the little brackets to bolt right on... I think the bolts are long gone, but they're just some big metric ones. Probably M12 or M14 can't remember.

Not a cruiser, but sorta interesting. 15B powered 5spd 4wd Dyna. Would be cool to make this into a 4x4 RV.

There's a lifted 4x4 quad cab like that driving around duncan. Pretty cool.

The different makers all seem to have a version of that, mitsu etc. And they all look pretty damn close to the same.

Kind of like the little mini cab over trucks. My friend had a Subaru sambar. 600cc 4wd rear engine. Thing was pretty awesome. Still pulled 100km/h up the hat

Hey everyone, look what came up today: http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/1986-TOYOTA-PICK-UP_25324482.lite
Pleading with my girlfriend to buy it fast! - she needs her first car (@29). Or she'll just keep borrowing mine.
She's finishing school, working at Pacifica housing - streets to homes - where each worker takes on 27 clients to help the needy get housing, move, get Tim hortons and talk, or get to appointments or whatever... :)

For $900 we maybe could afford it tmrw.

Would anyone know what engine is in it or what to look for in buying one?
Any experiences or recommendations appreciated.
- thinking this will sell in no time.
Damian

in 86 I would assume it would be a 4cyl 2.4litre 22re injected. possibly a 22r carbed
4 speed automatic

great engine either way, i never had a problem with mine, check the km and if the timing belt/ head gasket has ever been done

could also be a 2L or 2L-T diesel, but i think they would have stated that and or be asking more

Engine wise they are great, only issue really is the timing chains like to wear through the plastic guides, As most people fail to follow the intraval for changing the chain. Not a big deal, but you can expect to deal with it in the future.

Other than that look for frame rust. Back half of the frame on the inside. Also by the spring mounts.

How are they on gas? It's an auto, which is good since she doesn't drive stick (yet). But is that a solid tranny even with high mileage?
They get decent mileage. Mid 20's. The transmissions seem good too. My dad's old one went to 425k, with not so great maintence and many loads if firewood

This I can vouch for, check those spring mounts!
Cab corners as well and the ever so obvious bed rot, but that imminent

Anyone interested in a pickup?
It's for sale just down from my shop at the airport.
Looks like an '85, solid axle fuel injected. Looks very well taken care of. Just the box has the usual rust. Frame is decent through. No holes in the usual spot be the spring hanger. A little bit of a hole on the inside Further back though.
Only thing is that it's an automatic. However a 5 speed swap on one of these would be quick and painless with a donor.
Not sure how much they want for it.

That is really nice actually. Tell Rob (DieselCruiserman). I think he's been hunting for one of these. Maybe he'll try to hire you to fix the body...haha.
