Not worth it... if it was a plow truck its likely buggered pretty good in the frame. Once a plow truck, always a plow truck.

That said the winch is likely only there to raise the plow...

Good points man. Somehow I missed the plow part when I looked at the ad yesterday.

It might not be so bad... How much snow has it pushed here in Victoria? It's not like we see 3' every year.

And really, how big a blade could that tiny winch have lifted...

It does make me feel better about the value of my truck, if you guys feel it could be a decent deal at $7900... Not that I'm planning to potato it...

or sell it ever for that matter.

maybe if you leave 5 grand in the glove box.

And, kiss my ass.

I only thought it might be a decent deal for that if the body work was perfect. Hard to find 40 series with clean body work back to original.

Yep, I've been doing a lot of seaches lately as I look for a truck. I'm amazed at the 40's you can buy for that kind of money, if you can stomache the fuel bill.

I saw a nice 40 with OEM 1/4s & fenders, power steering, large pattern knuckles, 37s, and a er… 350… that sat on usedVic for a long time for $6500 a couple years back, so I don't see a whole lot of value in 40s these days.

I'm not so concerned about the fuel bill, even at $1.42/l (sick isn't it) I'm at most looking at $100/month… usually a fill lasts me a month or two. Even doubling my fuel economy (which a 3B diesel wouldn't come close to doing) would only save me $45/month. In reality, a diesel would only save me $30/month in fuel, at a cost of $1500-2000… so I'd break even in about 5 years… if I didn't need to rebuild the injector pump or something else.

Definitely some potential. Sounds like it was maintained. Sorry I missed you guys last night. Sounded like a good turn out.

Looks like the rust is relatively minimal for a Canadian 60 too. I'm wondering if the frame might actually be fine on it. If I was in the market for a 60, I'd be looking at it.

Hope to see you at the next meeting, and maybe on a run if we can get one organized.

Auto trans? Did they come with auto? One owner, that's pretty rare in itself.

HJ's came in auto. Seems like the 5 speed hj's are more rare.

Not really my cup of tea...

On another note, the new version of used vic etc really sucks ... App no longer works, and the mobile version they force you into (with a phone or tablet) doesn't work properly. Search windows won't work on my android stuff.

Has anyone ever updated a website without making it worse?

If I was at home, it would already be on my trailer. Damn!

Damn, Seapotato how could you say no to that...???

You mean, how did I decide NOT to bring a rusty dented sacked out piece of s*** home? Surprisingly not that painful, it's amazing the perspective that a couple years away from an addiction can give.

Considered it, almost called, then I believe my exact words were..."FAWK THAT" and I went on with my day.
