From the ad, I think that's hand painted, not wallpaper. Jeebus that must've taken a while. I'm sure no drugs at ALL were consumed during all that.

Second trailer is cool, but kinda like an M101. Profoundly useless 99% of the time. towing a trailer and STILL having to sleep in a tent is just plain silly.

The third....mobile porn studio. A new career awaits.
( stock up on air fresheners.)

Clean looking body, turbo kit, f'ed frame.

Good candidate for a frame swap...I considered it for a brief moment while the resolve was weakened by a triple dose of tylenol cold and flu that was kicking in last night...

The mind recoiled, I shuddered briefly and slipped into a coma free from dreams of the horror of crusty ass frame swaps.

It'd still have to be cheaper tho.

Going to try and see it tomorrow. Will let you know.... What's a fair price for a bone stock HDJ81?

Same price we paid for ours 2.5 years ago with 212,000 kms, a mild lift, and 33" tires. But otherwise stock... and no lockers. If I did it again, I'd be looking for a $5000 American truck and a good deal on a diesel to swap :hillbilly:

It's on used Vic now too: http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/1992-Toyota-HDJ81-Landcruiser-RHD_19292318

That is a pretty fine deal in my opinion. I'd definitely be looking at it if I wasn't already so heavily invested in my LJ78.

What makes you wish you went that route first?

I guess it doesn't really matter which way you go. But now we have a perfectly good truck and spending another 5k or so just to swap the steering wheel seems like a waste. If I did it the other way around, spending money on a diesel engine might come more easily... :)

Looks like my dads truck as his spare tire carrier rotted out.

Funny it doesn't say anything about it.

Where is the spare?

External tire carrier has been removed, from what I can tell, so that he can haul mountain bikes with it. He should have the carrier at home.

I do like 70's, (and that's a nice one despite its steering)but I'd prefer longer wheelbase ...and less rust prone.

Just spent my beer and cruiser fund on a savage skull crushing 8 month headache so it's gonna be a while before I wade back into the cruiser world.

a sail boat perhaps
