Folks on average are way too old for proper beat downs in Chemainus, but I think a car like that should get you beat up in any town, even if you sport a full bodied magnum mustache....


Cam made some subtle and polite observations to the assembled masses about the sexual preferences, and possible resemblences to female genitalia that the owner of that car might have....:hillbilly:

Now there's another haggard old wreck parked next to this thing. Rover 109 body that I'm pretty sure is on a fj45 frame if it's the one I remember. Don't remember what's in it for an engine .

Same bigfoot safari guy...so probably overpriced. He usually had arb's in his axles, if there was any good points about the truck....

If one got it cheap enough ,the shyte from the frame up could be scrapped, what's left kept as a starting point....but, seeing as who's selling, probably not cheap. I should go check on prices just for amusement..

Myles built it... attatoy or attaboy? don't remember which, one's him, other is his brother.

His brother had a nice blue 55 years ago...went wheeling with the whole herd a few times back in the day, when the crusties ( and everyone else it seems ) had a poo brown 60, and I had a nice aluminum bodied green soa bj42...before I disected it and built the 45.

must be 10 years ago now...
 
I used to hang out with him, good guy, haven't seen him in years, I thought he was on Gabriola island or something
 
LC Shop

Looking at getting a 1999 Land Cruiser from the mainland. Won't have time to do any work on it myself in the next year or two- so would have to have all the maintenance etc done at a shop. New to Victoria, so wondering if there are any good LC experienced shops around?
 
The only true Landcruiser shop is RaddCruisers in Duncan. I see a lot of rhd Cruisers at a shop on the corner of Marigold and Burnside but i have never dealt with them myself.The dealer(METRO) still has a few good Cruiser techs, they are a little more expensive than local shops but the do the job right the first time and use the correct parts and warranty their work.
 
My experience with Metro, and our Prius hasn't been positive. In the end I got a refund, but I paid for work they said they did, and then proved they didn't.

John at RADD knows his stuff, I've known him for close to 20 years.

Some nice finds there. Interesting how much more affordable HJ61's have become. It's strange how many have been coming up on the market recently. I wonder if it's getting hard to find parts for the 12ht's or maybe people just get tired of a rough ride and want modern comforts.

In the one ad you posted, the guy mentions the 3B is designed by Caterpillar? Really? I've never heard that before.

yeah, toys are taking a hit. It's unbelievable with boats. Down by about 50-60% on average in the last couple years. If not more.


That's the first time I've heard that about caterpillar too. I find myself doubting it...maybe he was confusing cat with hino?
