Some more parts… oddly enough his used alternator for $400 is still for sale. 🤷‍♂️

$400 - 9000 lbs - needs solenoid(s)

That’s a good deal. $100 Albright and off you go. Cool

I’ve got an 8274 on the 40…. and 8000 is a bit light for a 10k 2wd rig. Hopefully someone can make use of it

That’s a 9000 XD. More than enough for any Land Cruiser, cause snatch block.

X2 agreed… My only Landcruiser already has a good 8274,

If I ever get my Ambo stuck, doing a self rescue with an 8000 pound winch wouldn’t go so well.

Snatch block.

And don't take the ambulance where it shouldnt go! If stuck in snow on a regular road, mud in a driveway, etc., then any full size winch should be plenty. If wheeling off road and get it royally stuck, then....yah....should have taken the cruiser.

I've pulled 3 ton Canada Post van with my Warn M8000 single line out of a ditch one winter night.
Every circumstance is different, having a winch is better than not, cause you thought it wasn't big enough.
I towed a 30,000 lb truck 3 blocks to a fuel station with my 2WD Tundra last month. I don't think the idiot
took his foot off the brake for a minute. But I did have a 3"x30' tow strap on board for just this 'just in case'.

I’ve already got another winch that needs some brushes. It’s a winch that has pulled a two ton boat of a car that’s sunk to its belly 50’ across a farmers field. It’ll also lift the front end of a 40 a good foot off the ground on the top layer.
The point being is I saw a decent deal on a winch and thought I’d pass along the information. I really don’t need a fourth winch… regardless of it being a deal.

Besides, 3 tons is nothing. Empty the Ambo is 9700 lbs. Add 35 gallons of fuel, some gear, and passengers… and we’re up to 11,000+ lbs in a heartbeat.

And as suggested, I keep it on the road and use the 40 for harsher stuff. The 16k class 5 hitch with a 12k rated pintle hitch.

I’d guess 4WD… not worth much on current condition. Interesting Project for someone lookonjg

Someone find me the phone number. I’m not having any luck

Even if engine is toast (spun main bearing or something), I think the price is worth it for all the ancillary parts.
