Looks like a good candidate for a half cab, Ute tray. Gets rid of the rust.

Not Victoria, but given current prices not terrible… (although I choke at it)

It’d almost be worth wiring up the trailer brakes, ‘stealing’ @Rigpig’s trailer, and going on a road trip.

Trouble is that on the island it’d be hard to sell it for what it’s worth… too many cheap cruiser owners here who won’t cough up the $$$ that they go for now. We’ve been sheltered from reality for so long.

I suppose I shouldn’t admit to premeditated grand theft trailer… :grinpimp:

Transmission issues with tractors can be a career ender. A lot of basic tractors the transmission gearbox axle is the entire chassis and frame of the unit, to do any serious work on the transmission you have to pull the entire tractor apart, every heavy piece off. Probably why they can’t find anyone local to work on it, it’s just not worth it.

Parts maybe?

Front end loader and a running Kubota diesel would be worth it alone.

If I had a decent trailer and wasn't working I'd probably have grabbed it.

But I don't and I am, so my excuses are rock solid.

@Rigpig said you can borrow his trailer ;)

And it hasn’t sold, so the opportunity hasn’t passed. With your many talents I’m confident you could repair or replace the welded part. Heck, for all I know, you’ve probably got one you could make work in the goat barn.

Go for it Ryan. :D

Haha, another day I would, but I'm working tomorrow too, so I'll pass.

Cool thing would be the loader. Tractors are way cheaper without one, so having a free one in the shed would be great.

And on another note...cheap bits and pieces at RA.
$3 Universal's and $1 wiper blades.

Those prices at RA are surprising. Any idea if their U-Joints are any good? The last jobber U-Joint I tried was garbage that had too small a snap ring. It had a ton of play because the caps didn’t stay in place.

Would shipping be better if we did a group order? I’ve got a full set of wheel bearings, but at those prices I’d buy a full set of all the bearings and seals for my front axle. And 4 U-Joints if they’re good. Perhaps even pads… although the last set lasted 20 years.

Also all the brake flex lines.

Not sure if they're any good, I bought a few a year or two ago when they were 4 or 5 bucks. At the time I was messing with driveshafts a lot so I figured they'd be useful.

You have to play with shipping on that site. Get stuff from the same Depot or you pay a second fee.
Little truck appears next to things once you have something in your cart.

Still often ends up miles cheaper than stuff here. Even with shipping.

The ones I bought and had installed were terrible. Within a week the shaft was vibrating like crazy. The snap ring diameter was so small that it started pushing through the yoke… the shop should have seen the problem right away, even before it left the bench. 29 years later, I’d almost forgotten… but I don’t entirely trust aftermarket ones because of the bad experience.

KUBOTA was picked up yesterday. Dammit!

1987 Landcruiser, diesel???, 8274 ?

Body looks ok, price 1/2 decent if it’s a diesel. Pictures leave something to be desired.

There was a time I’d have jumped on this… still interesting.

I fall over just thinking about riding one of those
