Fair enough. I don't think you need to actually be a facebook user to open the ad though...?

I dislike facebook and avoided for a decade or so for much the same reasons. Family convinced me to go on during COVID so they could see kid stuff. I must admit I've discovered the classifieds are actually well used. Sort of too bad, as I prefer usedvic/craigslist/kijiji etc. without a doubt.
Haha, and I didn't even get to the godking zuckerberg portion of my rant...

So here's one for you. I went to the liqour store and bought some beer/wine yesterday afternoon. Opened facebook later that day and saw BC liquour store ads.... Sooooooo, hows that work?

More I think about it, more I should really get back off it asap again.

I once lived in a tent in the woods for 11 months, true story. I stopped when my tent collapsed under 6 feet of wet snow in 96. No radio, no tv, no electronics at all. I ran with wolves, fished for salmon with the bears and listened to the mycelium talk to the trees. I grew up tough, lean and wild, my middle school teachers couldn’t tame me and failed me for not doing any homework. I tried explain to them to forest was my home and my homework was learning the laws of the forest not made up numbers and words. They passed me on to the next grade rather than have to deal with me for a second year. I was a stone cold killer with my bow and a ghost in the forest back then. It was the time of my life. Now I work in a different jungle learning new laws and still trying to figure out this strange society and made up online world.

What were we talking about??

Oh yeah me skipping school. (Can delete this picture if it offends anyone)

Great story! And nice deer.

I grew up on a 2000 acre ranch in the interior with no TV/electronics of any type as a kid. Ate game meat and veg from the garden. Did not appreciate it at all at the time. Was bitter we ate game meat (dad like to hunt) instead of the fat cows we sent to auction every year. On moving to Victoria for education/work I enjoyed city pleasures for a while (making up for years of deprivation). Not into city life now; but having a family, mortgage etc, means the options for moving to a rural area again are pretty non existent. Wife likes city anyhow.... :bang:

I forget what all that has to do with facebook....haha.

Story of my life. Grunt.

Once the kids leave I'm moving somewhere rural come hell or high water. My soul erodes daily living in suburbia.

Kinda cool... 18k usd for 435,000 k rig. The back wall of the original cab seems out of place through the middle of the new cab.

That's competitive pricing for a cruiser in the US these days. :bang:

Manual transmission diesel 80; $12500. Part time 4wd kit in it too it seems (has selectable front hubs).
