Thanks! This could be a good read...

And yes, it was. Nice work on that 40!

Did I miss something? Which 40

So, happy to update that my daughter is the proud owner of a BJ62 (as her first vehicle no less)! Makes her dad proud too! A bit of mechanical tlc for the TLC over the winter and then on to body work when the weather improves. The PO is a super guy who did the conversion himself 15 yes back, and did it well. So... she's stayed north of the 49th!!!

Tell us more about the ‘Conversion’

got it. Yes I can only imagine how much happier it’d be in high range. 60 kph in low seems like more than enough

It's a 3B with H55f! And 2.5" OME heavies. Otherwise, bone stock.

These are nice. 4.7 v8 gets about the same mpg as the Taco 4.0; but is a hella better motor. Thought of them a few times as it would make towing my trailer easy for family camping. But just can't fathom parting ways with my rusty scratched dented stinky noisy shakey poor handling solid axle economical diesel.

Will it rust?

About 100 times slower than your 60! :flipoff2:

These are some of the last high quality made in Japan full frame Toyota SUV's to be produced. Same drivetrain as the 100 series. I know most of you guys don't like them because of IFS and how new they are with all the luxo options to fail. But really, they are very high quality vehicles compared to most of what is on the market these days... VVTI 2UZFE with the A750F is a very solid drivetrain. Typical l/100km is 15 in town and 12 on the highway. Not that much worse than old diesel cruisers.

Not Victoria, but in New West. Toyota Sunraider on FB.
