You can see through both rocker panels on that one...

on another board, the seller claims it has 30000 km original kilometers. funny part is that canada didnt even convert to metric till 78 so i guess it has under 20000 original miles. LMAO.

so is there a special kind of glue they used in these rigs that still not fully cured?

That's the kind of RV I could see myself buying when I'm ready to retire and want more creature comforts ;)

how come you are going to wait so long before you get something nice and capable? or do you mean you are retireing next year?;)

What is the likelihood of there being 31,000 original kms?? More like 131,000 rolled over once, or twice. Even 83's and 84's don't actually trade at the dollar value that he's claiming in his ad.

A little ambitious is being too kind, far-fetched and delusional but who cares. It doesn't bother me or some other cruiser owners, because a rising tide lifts all ships. :)

I also think that the rust spots only add to the character and charm of this vintage 4WD. And above all, who am I to argue with his asking price? Whether we think it's too high or not, it will never stop people from thinking their truck is worth its weight in gold. 60-70000 for a restored diesel 40/2....? Cool, if there are actually buyers out there with that kinda cake.

For that kind of $, I'd be so inclined to buy a 45 and mod it.

its not original. in fact its is as out of line as claiming its worth 60 grand. this is the typical shyster. if anyone bough a new cruiser at premium price, as we all know they were not cheap new, and it is supper economical compared to anything on the maket, then there is no way it only drove 30 k. heck i do 30-40 k a year on my wheeling rigs and they are not daily drivers.

i think i know that rig. joined a group going to whipsaw last year thanks giving. if its the same one, Steve would know more about it. heck i think there was pics of it on a trip report from last year. nice but very stock rig.

Steverb,

That ad is a literary masterpiece. I only wish there was a pic to go with it.
Haha, "Corners like a waterbed..." and, "Aerodynamics of a brick" is soooo funny.
