Quite the project truck. Can't figure why the first transfer case is left in that system, just for one extra reduction box A 2wd tranny to the divorced mog setup would make much more sense.

Also not understanding how a truck, sass and moobs relate

its actually quite a project. i have spoken to the owner sevrall times. i forget if i sold him parts or just technical bs. LOL


what i dislike about the set up is using a whole other trans plus more reduction in front of the U1200 trans as you mentioned. see the problem is that the input torque rating for that trans is 450 n/m. that means it can only handle the torque of the motor (mild cuminggs) and not so much torque multipication.


i think George is refering to my out of control mish mash mog projects.

Ya I remember you saying that the drive shafts don't really need to be ultra beef because of the final portal drive reduction. There is a pretty neat patrol just posted on bc4x4 I heard. Quite cheap for what it is $3200 1969 jeep style with sick low miles . Someone should cross post a link before its gone. Johnny canuck you got your ears on? Oh its posted under Toyota's f/s

Sweet if it is anywhere near to what is claimed. Would be a screaming deal and a piece of 4x4 history. Not sure I could bang it about on the trail if she is as good as claimed.
