I think the combo could work, but with the gray/silver on the bottom.

Yeah mine was that silver/burgundy colour combo too.Wasn't a big fan.

Had I kept it I'd have painted the red areas a darker grey than the top. Think that would've looked ok.
As for price, yeesh, mine sold for less than half that. Had all the same stuff, not quite as fresh looking tho.

Depreciation has hit those 81's harder than any of the other cruisers I think.

The silver burgundy ones are gross
Your old 81 went to kitimat I run into it here and there
81s fit the bill for 90% of cruiser owners
The other 10% are after something a bit more rugged

I didn't mind that color so much as the other 81 I was looking at the same time was that scheme.... But now that I have the blue slate whatchamacallit color I love it!

seems that ugly color is always locked , and i think you mean the other 10% are after something a little more plain .

I'd heard my old truck went up that way. Hopefully it hasn't caused him too much trouble. Was ok for me, but I started hating it after about a month. Automatics are just plain wrong. Plus I was always waiting for one of the myriad " insert credit card here" lights to start flashing.

As for 90%.......dude...

I do miss the slate grey 81 at times
I wouldn't even mind the two tone prado slate color but white is easy enough though
Plain Jane

Hey it's only a few more years until until you can import a 105, I hear they have more cup holders.

The 105 we had in Timor didn't have any more cup holders but it did have a lot more plastic with vinyl floors to boot. It would not be something I would spend time and money to import. ...or buy off of CL.

it's actually been for sale for quite a while, couple months at least...

Yup, dropped his price from $8500 from last November. How long to wait?? :hmm:

Damn, and I have a nice JDM drivetrain with an HDT just waiting for that. Sucks to be poor..
