If I lived more than 4 minutes from work I might. No need for another cruiser right now; doesn't seem to stop me from looking though :meh:

This 1977 FJ40 is being sold at Ritchie Bros auction tomorrow in Chilliwack (Dec 13).

http://www.rbauction.com/details-en_US/TOYOTA-LAND-CRUISER-4x4-Sport-Utility-Vehicle_3245989/ci

Looking at the photos:

OME Dakkar suspension
8274 winch
2F engine
Beefy front bumper
lotso bondo
ARB locker switches (could have both air lockers?!)

I'll be at the auction for work (I'm doing some contract work for RBA). I'll let you know how it goes (and if I get it!)

It has an EBI sticker in the rear window. Steve, recognize the truck? (or anyone?)

Very nice.

Yes
I still think this truck is in Japan though

Not necessarily. This would not be the first person to use their JDM import pics to sell their rig. I also see the pics were take in two different locations: one a dirt lot and the other a paved lot.

The only importer I know who lives in Langley is Dah_hunter (Ben) on IVOAC. I don't think he was into buying LCs. He bought a Surf that was left so long with a blown head that it had also rusted the piston heads and the sleeves. Although, he did manage to drive it that way from the docks to his place in Langley. Then he also bought a Surf with a monster lift which took him a while to sell. I think that did him in for SUVs.

Good luck on the auction.
I think that truck was along for the trail ride after cruiser days a few years back when we camped at East Harrison.

I think ben did an 81 at some point too.

you don't see 77s for sale too often. I inquired as I have a hunch who owns it. Curious to see how long it lasts.

Sold for $3750 (not too me); it was all over in less than a minute. They don't fool around at those auctions; over 1000 items sold yesterday.
