Who would pay such big money for a ****py little pathfinder like that! :hillbilly:

Someone who knows that crappy little crabfinder engine alone is worth more than the asking price. :flipoff2:

But I would of rather had the one that Seapotatoe posted for the same money on the Island or maybe even a slightly rusty FJ55 ( but without the flora accompaniment that Jeff's has). :D

Those 6.5s are strong but too damn loud...

craigslist nanimo 93 hjz73 155,oookm ,auto,11,000 bucks .no lockers clean he has only put 2,500 km on it in 4 years ,imported it himself . sounds way to clean for me.

I cant help thinking how cool one of those would be fixed up with a 1HZ under the hood and H55 behind it.

A whole lot cooler than a lowly datsun pathfinder, that's for sure!:hillbilly:

Go for it Jeremy! Once you go old-school, you'll never miss those plush leather LEXUS seats! :p

Piggies are plenty cool with a turboed 3B and the 3B will outlast the frame and, of course, the body.

Agreed. But not a Patrol! But if I had a choice between a fully restored Piggy with a turboed 3B with the H55 and my awesome Patrol, ;p ...you know which one I would be cruising in, eh? :steer: Come to think of it, I wonder if a Cummins would fit in a Piggy matched with a 5 spd and portal axles. :bounce: I doubt the Piggy drive train could take the torque. :hhmm:

Haha thanks Rob! I would love to do a 55 some day. I think a 1hz (maybe turbo) would be a cool setup, maybe a SOA and some 35-37's or just keep it simple and clean on 33's :)

My Lexus seats have been covered in heavy duty seat covers. Every once in a wile I pull one back a touch the fobiden fruit.....wait we are talking about seats right? Haha

I love old school Toyota's unfortunately old school for me is 80's. Had a 89 turbo supra that I put far to much money into (700hp). Looking at getting an ugly 84-85 celica coupe as my next toy to play with......4.0L Lexus V8 swap...you just a fixer upper :P

All those combos have been done, some better than others. Unfortunately they never made a BJ55, so none of those options would be a restoration. Each of them could be so much better than stock though.

I think the turboed 3B in Charle's Piggy is about as perfect as they come. He was talking about selling it before he left for the Congo. I suspect it is all wrapped up in storage.

Now the Cummins with Portals and a 5 spd would be  to see - so much better than an an HMS 81. :grinpimp: I knew Corey was doing 40 builds like this? Did he do a 55? Got any links to the build?

 Nicely done...tho shouldn't that be HMCS 81 once they're landed?

Funny thing about 55's tho, is that for some reason their frames seem to survive quite well under there, maybe the body shape or something, but I've seen lots of bagged out rotten 55's with frames that were perfect.

I'm sure the opposite is true as well tho, is a toyota..

Technically speaking they were HMJS for the emperor. I suppose an argument could be made that they were decommissioned as soon as they were registered here and are now HMCS. Although I still see some 81s on the road flying Japanese colours.

Yes, thats me and that's mine. Sometimes life throws a few curve-balls and you have to adjust.

Planning on a different project after your 80 and 40 sell?
