1998 LX470 $8900 .. 175 k miles

Met the seller once, maintenance record seems to be good too.

But never reply when I ask to arrange a pre purchase inspection at EBI. I guess it takes a lot of effort take day off and drive to poco.. oh well.

Higher mileage, but looks well maintained. This could be a good buy:

Transmission was recently serviced along with fluids changed in transfercase and differentials.

Factory options include

-Center diff lock
-Console cooler that yes makes ice!
-Sunroof
-A/C thats still is ice cold
-Cruise control
-Rear heater

Aftermarket parts

-33x12.5 Toyo open country tires
-Aluminum roof rack
-PIAA Lights
-Kenwood touch screen receiver
-Focal 6.5" front speakers
-Jbl 4" rear speakers
-Pioneer 10" sub in custom box
-Audison 5 channel amp

Im looking for a 2003 to 2008 Toyota 4runner or i would be keeping the cruiser, its going to be hard to part with but its time for something different. Anyone interested from the mainland id be more that happy to drive it to departure bay for a viewing.

Nope, but it looks like it's 5 minutes from my house, I can take a drive by tomorrow and see if I get lucky.

So a word of caution for people interested in that 80 2 posts up. The seller is kind of shady. Had an inspection set up , had someone lined up to see it since I'm out in Alberta. He changes his add and says it needs tires. I message him, says yea I sold the wheels and tires....Fair it's his truck. Now it has 20's on it and I'll sell it for 8000$ he says. Then he had some crazy idea of installing some crappy ion alloy wheels and some mix matched Terra grapplers for 8000$

It could very well be a solid rig. But beware!

I guess the hunt continues!

repost from Facebook 4wdabc buy and sell page. This cruiser is in Kelowna.

1989 JDM Land Cruiser BJ74.
13BT Turbo 4cyl, 198,000kms, Automatic. 4:10 gears, open front, LOKKA rear, 33" tires.
I have owned this truck for 3 years.
For upgrades I built bumpers and a roof rack for it. Installed a LOKKA "lunch box" locker in the rear axle and Manafre U-bolt flip kit for improved offroad performance. The locker is only minimally invasive - very smooth operating easy to adjust to. The tires are almost new (one thousand kms or so on them). It has longer Munroe gas magnum shocks all around. I have also built a carpet covered wooden storage box for the back that folds forward to make a sleeping platform.
For maintenance I've changed all fluids a couple times, most recently this year, and didn't find any evidence of problems on the drain plug magnets. The brakes were all re-done, wheel bearings and seals too. I had the alternator rebuilt when it conked out but that is the only "break down" I've had with the truck. I also put two new batteries in it.
The condition is good... mostly. The right side is wrinkled from a too-close encounter with a ditch. The rest of the truck is nice and strait with essentially no rust. I built a step bar along the rocker panels which was also designed to stop mud from flying into the door jam. It is along the bottom of the rocker panels where there are a couple minor rust spots. The rear wheel arches are perfect, no rust! The interior is clean and in good shape. There is a 12Volt converter running a cd player and cigarete lighter plug (non-smoker). I also have a 24Volt Viair pump to include.
It has been a great Land Cruiser and I absolutly love it but work and life circumstances require a change.
