I know Titan has been working with a "offshore" supplier to bring these winches to the market. If you read their website descriptions they state they have been improving their winches and winch components to bring a higher quality product to the market for years now. Their specs look pretty good online but I was wondering if anyone has long term experience with these. These are coming from a vendor out of Canada so shipping is a little higher to the US.

I am ordering one of these very soon. Duncan Robinson (905-637-1637) is the contact and I believe the owner. He is the one who will likely answer your phone call and will also respond to your emails very quickly. That kind of personal service is one of the main reasons I'm buying a TW12 from them. That along with the price and the build quality. I have looked at dozens of reviews online and have not read about one failing. I think it will be a great product. Here is the bulk of an email response I received a few weeks ago from Duncan. I asked about water sealing mounting compatibility with the blueberry bumper.

Hello Jonathan
First and foremost we should start with the Water sealing question. We use twin lipped rubber seals ( 4”) for both the gear box and motor. In addition to this we now have the end cap bolts fed from the winch foot side and threaded into the end cap ,this eliminates the bolt holes that are normally found for securing the ends to motors and thus eliminating a potential water problem.
Another step that is new for this year is the receiver for the wireless remote now plugs in. The Thompson style Solenoid is arguably about the best winch solenoid on the market today
The winch is compatible with the models listed and there is no problems with installing.
If you have any other questions please feel free to ask
Cheers
Duncan

I asked if I could purchase the winch with synthetic line and no hook, fairlead or thimble (I will be installing a safety thimble) and he was happy to accommodate the request which saved me a few bucks on the overall cost.

Thanks for the response Jon. I agree that these are appear to be higher quality than the typical cheap chinese imported winches. These appear to have some R&D going into the design and Titan seems to be constantly improving their models. I have come close to ordering the TW12 a few times. I will probably just order one and see how it works out. I've also had some correspondence with Duncan where I also requested synthetic line, shipping quotes, etc. He seems to respond quickly and good to deal with.
