Tire replacement on 06 Land Cruiser uzj100 maybe down size from stock? Help

My '06 had 265/60/18s Goodyear Wrangler SR-As mounted when I first got it. It didn't really look out of proportion or anything and it's not something one would notice unless they took a particular interest in it. Car felt quite peppy with this setup.
I swapped these to the current NTG 305/60/18s for a more off road capable tire. While the car is plenty powerful, the larger overall diameter definitely dampens the power a bit, especially off the line.
Personally, I do think the stock size is best, unless you want to bias the car for more off road clearance.

My wife drives the 100, mostly around town, where I figure a slightly smaller tire probably helps performance and hopefully helps mileage. And with the speedometer reading slightly fast, she probably isn't driving as fast as she thinks! On the highway she is driving slightly slower with the same engine RPM, definitely helping mileage again. I couldn't get the stock size in the tire I wanted, running Nokian WRG2 SUV 265/60R18s. Love the tires for Winter/Summer conditions in Michigan, I have them on both my trucks.

Yeah, I like the extra peppiness, It's like giving your car a lower gear, the 265/60 -18 A/T2's didn't look much different at all really. I'm waiting on a set of 265/65-18 LTX M/S 2 at Sams Club to come in and then I'm going to compare those

Well I've got AHC, when I need extra height I just hit the button. I love that suspension. I flushed it out with new toyota fluid and it works great now.

Well with much agonizing here is what i went with. I know most want fater tires but I went the the closest to stock size within a 1.5% of stock to maintain best all around performance for road and the twice a month on the mild trail. The 265/60 18 LTX A/T2. They look great, very tight and aggressive and did notice any diffrence from the Latitude stock size on the hwy. My rpms were at the same at 60 mph on hwy on 2000 rpms. Thanks for all the input see pics

Im really liking these A/T2's they look great with the tighter profile and ride great too. Throttle response feels the same too. Also I think this size 265/60 18 in the A/T2 makes this wheel look bigger. I haven't tried them on the trail yet but will this weekend hopefully if the weather holds up.

Thank you! I have been working like a dog on this thing since I bought it 2 months ago. I'm finally getting things wrapped up on it. It needed lot of cosmetic and maintenance stuff done. What is the GSMTR?That is a beautiful 100. Are you going to try them out at GSMTR? It would be a shame if you didn't come

Oh yeah, that is very close. Do you go for the whole week? I definitely want to make that. Looks like a 2hour drive. Though I will probably be on the beginner trail being I have a no mod cruiser. Is mostly technical? I try to avoid the mud bog unless i got this on me. See pic of chevy with 34 swampers

Hi! I am on the same boat considering 265/60 for a LC100 2006. How was your experience so far? Given the climate I live in Sweden, I am considering Cross Climate 2 SUV so I can take advantage of winter and summer. Would you recommend this size? Or better stick to OEM 275/60?
I’m running 265/65 r18 Michelin defenders and they are great! They are a bit taller than stock and do way better in the snow compared to the 275s I had before. The 100 series stock tires are too wide to be decent on snow imo.
That's great to hear! Do you go back to 275 during the summer, or year round with 265? Any noticeable mileage change either city driving or highway?
