Tire question 275/60/18

I did a search on this tire size in the 100 series section, looking for what is available in this size and I also looked at tirerack. Pretty much just the Michelin LTX Pilots that I now have and then a couple of other inferior Dunlops and Bridgestones. What are you 18" wheel guys running in the stock size? I won't need new tires for a while but just want to get a head start and do the research. Thanks

How does that effect warranty, I have the CPO? Figure the bigger tires alters the speedo which cuts down on miles as time goes by. Also don't you then have to buy 5 tires because you can't use the smaller spare? Does the larger tire fit in the spare tire area? How does the LX/LC perform with the larger heavier tires? Sorry for all the questions

I'm running 275/70/18 (33's) Toyo Open Country. Nice tire and performance is great. I thought they were a harder ride at first because of the "E" rating, but anything is going to be harder compared to the passenger stock tire. If I feel it's too rough I'll put it in comfort mode. I haven't bought the 5th tire yet, but it will fit. Regarding warranty- I still have the old tires just in case.

I don't think the tire size would effect the warranty, as long as the suspension hasn't been altered. I only bought 4, so if I were to ever use the spare I probably shouldn't go very far. I can't tell hardly any difference at all with the acceleration/performance. It still has plenty of power. Don't mind all the questions...especially since I'm usually the one asking them.

You can get a Toyo AT in 285/60/18. A little wider and taller, 31.5" or so. I don't think its an E rated tire, but don't know about the stiffness. I have been checking these out for my '06. It came with some crappy Bridgestones. The stock Bridgestones have a terrible rating on Tirerack.

I'm torn between the Toyos or the LTX Pilots which are more expensive. And a completely different tire.

Here are the toyo specs. I don't know why the 285/60/18 is not rated on here and it doesn't say it's an LT tire. if I were to do it over again, I would go 325/60/18.

Thanks, at this point if they don't make more choices in the OEM size it looks like going to 285/60/18 is the best choice for me. It is so close to OEM size you could use the OEM spare without a problem for a short time. The Bridgestone Alenza comes in this size and it is a great tire for the $172 price.
