I'm new to Land Cruisers. The 1992 LJ77 LC II that I have has Firestone Wranglers 31 x 10.50 R15LT tires, which is an option listed in the owner's manual. Listed pressures are 27 psi (front) and 44 psi (rear) for 80 kph or more -- basically for highway use.

These seem unusual to me: the front seems low and the rear seems high for these tires. Do you all run similiar pressures? We do have a paved road for north-south access (one of 12 paved highways in the country). The rest of my driving is on dirt by necessity. Broken-up, washed-out, big mud-hole stuff, rocky stretches, shallow water crossings, etc.:) Steve in Paraguay

Steve,
take a peice of chalk and draw a few lines across the tread and drive straight down the highway checking the lines every once in a while letting a bit of air out as you stop till you have the chalk wearing even across the face of the tread. this is one way of getting the air pressure correct though a bit of time consuming.
i usually run 28 lbs up front and 25 in the rear. the max tire pressure on the side wall is for just that, max load rating as said air pressure.

HTHs cheers

Seems unusual to me too. Ive always had slightly higher pressure in the front because unloaded the front is heavier.
My 73 series with BFG A/T,which is only a little heavier than a LJ77 or maybe the same weight ,has 36 front and 34 rear.(My preference not the the tyre company)
