I am in Chico but I am in Sac and Davis areas regularly...

The question is for the best price on BFG MTs....

Where are you guys buying your tires ??

Price plus service and backing the product are important to me ..

thanks for your help

Costco..beat every body in central Oregon, mounted et all. They have a BFG $60 off if you buy 4 sale every 3 months or so. I don't like buying from the Box stores, but all the tire stores are chain owned too, (Schwab priced the tires I got for $580 @ $1000). both types of stores have local employees...It's the only way I justify buying form non-local owned biz....other than, times are tough all over. Ya gotta price shop these days..

Costco puts their road hazard on the BFG some places will not, apparently because of the off road damage, but I dunno.. . I don't think BFG even offers road hazard from the factory on MT or AT.

Also try tirerack.com.Good prices on tires&if the shipping is cheap(it usually is)Then just take the tires to a local shop for M&B.
What size are you looking for ?

What size are you looking for ?

33x10.5x15

I was hoping for road hazzazd... which is why I wanted to buy them local as apposed to online.

I will check Costco and see, although I know some Costco stores won't go over original size....

thnx

I got my last set of BFG 33-10.50 M/T's from America's Tire. Looks like there are 3 in Sacatomatoes and one in Woodland. Nothing closer to Chico.

GO CHICO!!!

Don't ask don't tell. I ordered 33x10.5/15 (Costco does not stock them, they cam in form RENO.) I didn't ask or tell them what it was for until I showed up with the wheels. (MY wheels were a spare set of Original 60s)

Just a note if you buy them on-line the mounting is going to be $10-15 each. And more $ if you buy a road hazard from a shop, so you have to add that in to any on-line purchase (duh?).

Bset price outside Costco I have found is the Discount Tire right there by Home Depot, I dont have a Costco card so I dont go there. I'm looking for a not so common size and they were the best in the area.
DO NOT go to Quality used tires by Italian Cottage. We bought some good looking tires for the GF car there, We took it to Schwabs for some brake work and they found all kinds of issues with the tires. You couldnt see the problems till they were pressurized. They put the bulges and such on the inside so We would have never known until the tire blew.

I got my bfg at's at tire pros. Not sure if you have one up there or not but they were the least expensive in my neck of the woods. Not sure if they offer the road hazard though.
Good luck,
Paul

I did costco as well.
They wouldn't put them on due to the oversize issue, but I brought the rims in loose (off the 60) and they mounted, balanced and warrantied them!

I got some 16 inch rims, so I ended up with 285/75/16 (33X12)
I love 'em

thanks all !!

I will check out Costco and Discount this weekend. America's Tire and Discount are the same business...

Checked discounts website and they say they have road hazzard on all their tires .

"The price shown on this page includes free valve stems, free prorated road hazard coverage and free lifetime rotations."

and list $169 as the before mount price...

for 5 tires it is $2.00 more than tirerack with the shipping, is local and has roadside hazzard....
