Tire Dilemma

Also take a look at Kumho Road Venture MT's. They make two styles, one of them is a pretty mild mudder. We drove a set for over 45,000 miles (maybe 50? not sure) on our heavily loaded 60, through Central America, NorthWestern USA, Mexico and California. Every terrain you can imagine from sandy beaches to snowy streets to volcanic rock to coral to desert sand to claylike muddy rutted roads and potholed freeways. They performed great. I've still got them on my 40, they are pretty torn up and worn out, but still work well enough to use... and definately still make a great set of spares.

the old style kumos help up great the newer design wore out on me in lest than 6 months...
wasn't impressed with the new the old lasted well over 10 years of abuse...

bummer! I was just thinking about getting new tires and seriously considering kumhos. Grrr. I guess I'll go with the local favorite: Hankook. There's a factory here so they're cheap(er).
