Hey y'all I know this is gonna sound lame but I cannot find the date on this tire to save my life. My neighbor is gonna give me a set of KO2s but I want to check the date to make sure they're safe to run and I cannot seem to find it in the picture he sent. I know it is supposed to be in the DOT section.

Afaik ten years is typically the work limit.
At my old job we couldn't sell a tire over five years and couldn't service them past ten.
Just tell les schwab "tire company X wouldn't fxck with it" and they'll bend over backwards for you.

All right thanks!

To determine the age of your tires, check the last four digits of the U.S. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) number stamped on the tire's sidewall contains a date code that identifies the age of your tires.
