I've done a lot of searching and all I can find is people using the basic black bedliner on the fenders where the flares were. I'm wondering if anyone has actually tried to use the same color liner as the rest of the rig. Last week I broke the front flare, and honestly I've been looking for a good reason to take them all off. My rig was the dark green, but was painted Dune Beige (Toyota 416) by the PO. I absolutely love the tan color, but under the flares it's still green. I'm not real keen on the black bedliner on a tan truck and was thinking about getting it tinted to match. Anyone have any pictures of this?

As I see it, I have a few options:

1. Leave it green. Cheap. Not that much different than black bedliner.

2. Black bedliner. Easy, and cheapest "fix". Might look OK with black bumpers/tires, etc.

3. Paint it with regular paint to match the dune beige. Probably around ~150 bucks, and will likely look crappy since this is my first automotive paint job, but could look more "factory"

4. Tinted bedliner. Will look good (finish-wise, anyway), but probably close to $200 for primer, color-match paint, and liner.

BTW, I'm a novice at this, and went to the local auto paint store for advice (Space Age in Mesa). I'd like to do this myself, asthetics aren't of highest importance as its only a trail/camping truck, and I'd like to learn something too while I'm at it.

U-POL.

Don't know how well it tints though. It applies well and is durable FFIW.

All I know is your a bastige.
I was thinking of painting my truck the beige color one day. I was planning on pulling the flares and using duraback.
Oh and rhino or line-x will both tint to color. chances are it will not match correctly and it will still look like chit. just use black.

alvarorb did his in grey.

I know Mudrak was able to tint the liner goo for the guys.

I think black would look awesome on your truck with the wheels, bumpers, etc. I did mine with black Duraliner that was on sale for $20 a gallon at Walmart, my rig is maroon BTW. I did where the flare WAS located, to clarify. Was just down in Moab for 4 days over this past weekend, got some scratches on it but no chipping or flaking off so far. Go with the black. My two cents.

Bedliner

I think the black would look great. I know for some of the liners they actually can't color match. They spray a topcoat once the liner sets. I don't like that idea to much. The problem with some of the lighter color liners if you use pigments is that they will slightly yellow in the sun. I used speedliner and PPG color and it did yellow a little after being in the sun.
