Timing question 94 3. liter

What posts do you jump to properly time the 3.0 liter? I have a cheezy repair book I bought at Checkers that just shows the 4cyl procedure, and my 6cyl doesn't look like the same electrical block.
Also, one part of the book says it should be 8 degrees btdc when jumped, the other part says it should be 10 degrees btdc.

What is a good repair manual with accurate info on these 3.0 liter motors?

You'll have to keep checking for a 94 though.....
