Timing for new rotor, cap and wires?

If you are just replacing rotor, cap and wires do you need to redo timing? I don't want to dive into my daily driver today if I need to do timing too (I don't have a gun).
 
No, you don't need to reset timing as long as you do not loosen the distributor bracket and rotate it. (No need to do that)

Just make sure you twist on the plug wires before pulling from the plugs so less risk of losing the bottom boot on #6.

Thanks. I just did the plugs not long ago so they shouldn't be too frozen in there but will do just in case.
 
Yeah, no need for timing the engine. Of course it wouldn't hurt, but it should be fine.
 
In case it needs saying :)

Make sure to liberally coat each plug and distributor end (on the inside) of each high tension lead with dielectric grease. Will make it easier to remove in the future and helps keep moisture and gunk from creating an external arc path.
