Timing Belt Service

I helped a friend do his timing belt and water pump etc last weekend with a kit from Rock Auto. It was an Aisin kit, less than $200 Shipped. AISIN Part # TKT021, included water pump, tensioner and both idlers. Came in 3 days.
Also did upper and lower radiator hoses and serp belt. We got the extended pink from Oreiley Auto for 20 a gallon, needed 3.
140K and the timing belt was in very good condition.
 
I don't see a link. Am I blind?

At 140 K miles do all radiator hoses need to be replaced ?
 
Can someone please dumb this down for me. I need to ask the Toyota service writer to have the additional recommended items done along with the timing belt service Friday. They're already doing the timing belt, serpentine belt, water pump and thermostat. Based on the recommendations here on the board, I want to add these things:

Front cam seals
Upper radiator hose
Lower radiator hose
Oil cooler hoses (3)
Hydraulic tensioner
Idler bearings
Tensioner bearings

Am I using the correct terminology here? And is there a tensioner, and also tensioner bearings? Please pardon the ignorance.

Check my thread, I should have all the items you need while in there.

Actually here ya go...

My DS cam seal was leaking a little so i replaced both. I would order everything. Don't want to pay twice.


2. Timing Belt
3. Accssory Belt
4. Tensioner
5. Crank seal
6. Cam seal
7. Iidler pulley
8. Thermostat
9. Fuel Filter
10. Water Pump

VVTi? If no, then ignore. Have fun paying that bill if you want the cam seals changed. I believe you have to remove camshafts on both banks. Usually doesn't leak.

No front main/crank shaft seal?

The tensioner has a pulley on it and that bearings. The hydraulic tensioner applies pressure on the tensioner I just mentioned. The idler pulley for the timing belt also has bearings.

Heres something quick I just labeled. Not my picture though. I don't line them up with the T marks. And the hydraulic tensioner isn't installed yet.

That helps, thanks. I'm going to do the fuel filter myself, ya I'm kind of a badass that way. I'll try to leave some grease on my hands so someone asks about it. :hillbilly:

The pic puts it in perspective, thanks. I saw the comments in the other threads re: vvti vs non-vvti, I'll figure out which one I have and will skip the seals if its vvti.
