I put Yukons in mine and they were noisy for the first 80k or so. This was over 4 years ago and they did remove them from their list back then as they realized it was a problem. Take a look at precision.

Pete:

I put Yukon's in Clifford, then seemed fine. I bought them from Rocklogic4x4.com.

I have Precision Gears in my front e-locker, very nice pattern. I bought them from Slee.

I installed Yukons in my rear e-locker back in September, I couldn't get a decent pattern no matter what I tried. I posted pics on Pirate, a couple of people told me they have had the same problem. They are a little noisy, diff sometimes whines like a pinion bearing is bad, but all the bearings are new. I may take it apart in the Spring to see if I can get rid of it. I bought them from ringpinion.biz.

Verdict: I would try to find Precisions.

Oddly enough, the Yukon install kits usually have OEM-grade Koyo bearings in them. But I toss the cheapo pinion seal and stake nut and get OEM from the dealer.

They're easy to get for the hi-pinion diff (I have one in mine), but I was never able to find them for older Cruiser diffs, or a rear 80-series. That was a few years ago though.

While on this, anyone know source for solid spacers. I thought I read of them a little while ago.

is this for a cruiser or a minitruck?

80 series land cruiser. I thought I saw a site where it went through a gear setup and used solid spacers. The guys up at Cruiser solutions did my gear work but returned the crush sleeves when done.

The gears when new were loud but have quieted down now and it's been in the back of my mind to pull the thirds and have them checked again, it's been over 100k since their install.
