Always kind've liked those front bumpers.

Edit - on the PV of course.
Still sell them new. I got a new one before it left. Shippers scratched it but it's not a big deal

Friday I got my ass up and went to the gym then headed to 49Tire for some meats.

On the way down with the Chinese tires I
Checked the speed sensor.

Seems like it triggers with 5th gear RPM versus speed.

As soon as it goes over 3000 it beeps

The new tires truly (by hand on the truck) measure 32.25" which is pretty big for a 285.

I picked up 2 mph before the alarm sounds

Also I got a fancy cup holder that fits perfectly on the transmission hump

i completely forgot this build is in the 100 section.

My apologies that I did not say that I purchased and installed weather tech floor mats first.

First mod.

The rear cargo mat is going to take some mill custom fitting but I think there are a few threads on the subject already

Got the 80 I'm working on loaded on the trailer for the stereo shop about 1:30 and jumped on the opportunity to add my Dobinsons IMS setup

It was a game day decision whether or not I needed to use the HD torsion bars I bought but it looks like I'm at 3/4"-1" rake by maxing out my stock bars.

Good thing, the last set I installed was in the year of our Lord 2005. I watched one You Tube and then crossed my fingers the stock still had enough adjustment

I can't tell a lot of difference between the two but I've not driven the V8 but one time.

All I know is that they Middle East market got the 4500 and the 2UZ in the 100 for the entire run of the 100 series and 80% or more of the 100s sold over there were the 4500 coil pack.

Possibly that is because the 4500 came in the lower grade G and GX models and that was cheaper and more desert friendly?

No idea.

My big question for @cruiserdan or any other guru.....

Why did Toyota make two 1FZ-FE motors?

Why, if so different did they not have different designations?

I'm assuming this coil pack could not pass US emissions so they made the overly complicated version for us.

This engine is WAY more serviceable. Heater hoses are exposed. These are NOT known to eat head gaskets like the US variant. My guess is they hold less heat due to the much smaller plenum.

V8 v coil pack 1FZ. Dunno. I like them both.

I'm not CruiserDan but I know that Toyota made two different 1FZ-FEs to serve their primary markets, one for the developed countries with stringent emission restrictions and one for their developing markets, which like previous variances (2F,3F) focuses on simplicity and field serviceability. I'm assuming that just like with the 2F and 3F, the new 1FZ-FE didn't merit a completely new designation because the ancillary emission equipment comes in multiple variants depending on the exact requirements of the targeted market. The core engine design remains fundamentally the same, it's all the other crap on it that account for the variability.
The coil pack 1FZ-FE is a beloved engine in the markets where it was sold. Considered robust and trouble free and significantly more powerful than the earlier 1FZ (carburated) and the later pre-coil pack 1FZ-FE, the HP and torque bands aren't too far away from the 2UZ-FE but with marginal fuel improvements (also important in many of the markets where it was sold). I'll wait to see if CruiserDan agrees or pukes all over my statement! :)

wild guess... WOR sliders and a trail tailor hidden winch next?:grinpimp:
Certainly two very solid guesses based on prior builds however for now I just love the stock look. IF it gets a winch. Hidden 100%

If it gets sliders (much higher probability) it gets Slee Step Sliders.
