so the cheep mods continue....

This morning i tighted up the ole t-bars to gain a bit of lift in the front. I turned them 3 revolutions on each side and then measured
passenger side from center of hub to the bottom of the fender (i used the nut on the underside middle of the fender as a anchor point) = 20 1/4 inches

Driverside = 19 3/4 inches

I cranked the driverside one more revolution and bingo bango bongo....20 1/4 inches

Here is my question - i just changed my tires but on the old tires the driverside front was getting very worn on the outer/left side of the tire. I had the tire place do a realignment thinking it was out of whack. When he told me it was pretty much tru i became quite confused. So i am now thinking that since my driverside was sagging more than my passenger side this contribute to tire wear.......wadda think...

for the record - it was very easy to adjust......................and while i was under there i took off my running boards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

looks a whole lot better...

I have not had good luck with alignments, ended up at dealer they did better than anyone else. Now that you changed your t-bars you might need another alignment. What was your height before you did t-bar and what kind of tire did you buy.Oh to answer the question, I do not think that wore your tire.I think they come uneven from factory.

I've also had only good alignments at the dealer. Not sure if it's the tech, or maybe the equipment is just better or better calibrated, or all of the above. You will need to realign since you adjusted the t-bars.

It seems you would have felt some pull if the tire was wearing bad, unless it's the same on both sides??

I have recently noticed a pull to the right and have been thinking about an alignment, but wanted to rotate the tires first since they are new and I could have a bad tire. But, driving yesterday, I noticed it only pulled under power and not when coasting. I also really only notice it at highway speed. I thought it was the curve of the road, but it doesn't pull when I let off the gas.....

Hey dug, welcome to my world, mine pulls dead left only under power. It will do it from a dead stop.Only answer i get is a bad tire.Doesn't make sence from a dead stop but i'm going to but tires and see what happens.285x75 bfg or nitto incase you were wondering.

I rotated tires yesterday and it pulls just as bad under power. From a stop mine also gives a left pull, but then it's OK until the situation I described above. I'm going to search for something, I just don't know what yet. I rememebr reading something about the vehicle pulling and it had something to do with a belt or drive issue. I really don't remember. good luck.

Nuubie ?

Ok I know this is a newb question but i got under my truck and couldn't decide wich bolt to crank?the really big one or the one behind that and up.Is one a lock bolt and one adjustment?Sorry about my:doh:

The big one, I think it's 30mm.

Also...especially for the rust coast rigs...spray the torsion bar adjuster threads with PB Blaster or similar a few times/days before you attempt to adjust.

Quick question?
I also want to tighten my T-bars a bit. Do you jack up the rig or can you adjust while rig is on the ground?
