I am about to embark on the replacement of the Rack and Pinion on my 2000 LX470 (beach and lake runner not a rock crawler). I am aware and agree that the best tie rod ends are 555 or OEM. Cruiser outfitters is delayed on the items given the current Corona virus situation. I need to get the truck mobile so what tie rod ends from local auto parts would make due until all of this Covid-19 situation passes? I’ll change them out later to the appropriate pieces once this is over.

Perfect info! Appreciate all the replies and link. Have sourced them at a Napa and will be picking them up.

Try partsouq.com. Enter the VIN and go to parts catalog. They ship to US and I get it in 3-4 days through FedEx (example: I ordered on a Saturday my time and received the package on Wednesday by noon at my door!) . OEM is the way to go. The 555 is NOT a good quality part though many heare use it.

They’re closed through 4/20...He needs them now.

Didn't notice that. I got my most recent shipment from them like early April! Working on my front CV's

What 100 series replacement part made by 555 failed you?

We've sold tens of thousands of 555 joints, Cruisers that have completed in King of the Hammers, the Baja 1000, trips around the globe and thousands and thousands of daily drivers. We've seen such a few number of failures it's amazing. OEM is never a bad choice when the budget allows, we stock those too.

Note that not all 555 labeled TREs are from Japan. Ensure that the part says “555 Japan.”
