Looking for some help here, i have searched the forums and have tried most of the things suggested but need some help diagnosing. I just swapped the engine and transmission in my 94 and it hasn't felt quite right. idles fine and when in neutral revs totally fine but when underload if just feathering the gas it will go slowly but chug along until gaining speed. if you floor it it then bogs down but then will start building speed at a quicker pace. The middle of the pedal almost nothing happens or very slow increase in speed. once up to speed it holds speed totally fine. does anyone have any idea what it could be? so far i have done the following...New TPS, new throttle cable, adjusted kick down cable, cleaned all injectors, new spark plugs, new waterpump, replaced all vacuum lines and rubber lines, changed all the fluids, cleaned MAF, rebuilt wiring harness, deleted the cat (it was clogged from previous engine), EGR delete, new fuel filter, new airfilter,
any help is greatly appreciated as I n have no idea

I have a 94 that has had this to a greater or lesser degree since I've owned it. It is almost dialed out, but I still have a laggy spot at the very low end of the pedal travel.

Adjusting the (new factory part) TPS to spec with a feeler gage, per the FSM, has minimized it, but I'm still looking to dial out the last bit of laggyness - it is only at the very low end of the pedal travel for me.

I wonder if I have too much slack in my throttle cable.

I've found incredibly minor amounts of TPS sensor adjustment make a massive difference. Setting it exactly right with a hand vaccum pump, feeler guages and multimeter is essential. It is kind of a pain to get the feeler gauge in the right spot, but otherwise not a challenging job.

Given the work you've done, I'd recommend making sure your throttle cable is adjusted right, and your TPS calibration is perfect.

Check kickdown cable again. Check for any slop on mechanical cables. How trans fluid look? Torque converter new or used?

I’ll check again all the cables seem to be adjusted correctly, the trans fluid is good just swapped and everything looked okay the torque converter is used!

This is very good to know I’ll fiddle around with the tps a bit and see if I can dial it in a bit

If everything checks out. Maybe failing or badly seated tq converter ☹️.

But keep searching for the root issue. No check engine light leads me to believe it is something mechanical..
