I'm wrapping up dropping a 3L Turbo Diesel (1KZ-TE) into a 1993 KZN130 HIlux Surf.
Almost done, but cannot find one of the connection points for the 2 cooling hoses to the Throttle Body.
I found the one for the forward side of the throttle body. The one going to a point on the intake side of the engine, slightly forward and lower than the throttle body.
I cannot find the connection point for the 2nd hose. The one that attaches to the bare pipe in the photo below. Where does that connect to on the engine?

I'd just bypass it. Not needed at least in Aus :) If the other end is open you'll soon find it when it turns green lol

Did you retain EGR? Pretty sure those cooling lines are effectively a primitive EGR cooler that aren't necessary if you don't have EGR hooked up.

G'day Mate,
I used to live on the East side of Mt Dandenong. Fern Glen Ave, Olinda. That was way back in the late 70's. Now a resident of the US of A, where we get high 90's in the summer and snow in the winter. Prety wide temperature range. So I want to hafve that system active.
But thanks for your reply.

Yep. EGR is hooked up. So I need to find where the lines connect into the cooling system.
Any reason not to delete the EGR? You'll have a cooler running engine with better throttle response with it gone.

Alternately, you might be able to figure out where the other line is supposed to hook up from the cooling system parts diagrams. I've never worked on a 1KZ-TE, only 2L-TE's, so I'm not totally sure how that engine is plumbed.

Found it!!.

I should explain. I have two engines. One that I have built up and dropped into the truck. The other, which failed spectacularly, has been pulled out of the truck. I've been stealing bits off it. The photo in my 1st post is of the engine that is now in the truck. The photo below is of the engine I pulled out.
The line that is attached in my earlier photo, goes to a fitting on the side of the block just under the intake manifold, right up close to #3 inlet. You can see the head of a hex head bolt plugging the hole.
The other line, the one not connected on my earlier photo, but pointed to in photo in this post, goes into the oil cooler housing.
