Hello. I am new to the forum and I just recently purchased a 2013 LX 570 and thought I would make a thread to memorialize the progress I make as I gradually evolve my truck.

I was initially looking at all sorts of SUV's that I subsequently discovered would be useless off road. As I watched more and more off road you tube channels I learned about overlanding and the fact that Jeep and Toyota were the dominant players here in America. I have owned two Jeeps in the past and swore never again. So at first I was set on either a Tacoma or a 4Runner. I actually got an allocation for a Tacoma and was excited about it. Then I discovered the Australian overlanding channels and immediately became interested in Land Crusiers. Initially I had zero interest in a used car but the more I researched Land Cruisers the more I warmed up to the idea. As luck would have it one of the dealers I was working with got a hold of a 2013 LX and I fell in love with it and jumped on it. So here I am.

I plan to keep AHC until it stops working.

Phase One- Everyday Driver
Mats- Weathertech (Installed)
Fog Lights- Diode Dynamics SS3 Fog Lights (Waiting to install)
Tint- 3M Crystalline (Pending)
Wrap/Chrome Delete-Maybe, maybe not.

Phase Two- Touring build
Third Row Delete
Storage- ARB (Pending)
Roof Rack- Front Runner (Pending)
Side Window Deflectors- Weathertech (Pending)

Phase Three- Off Road additions
Wheels- TRD BBS 18" wheels (Pending)
Front Bumper-???
Rear Bumper- ???
Rock Sliders- Slee (Pending)
Skid Plates-???
Winch- Warn (Pending)

My current plan is to sleep in the truck and purchase a trailer for extra storage and kitchen stuff. Probably a Patriot or a Turtleback trailer. I may end up adding a RTT to the trailer.

I appreciate any constructive suggestions. If you are THAT guy (that likes to tell people how stupid they are), move along.

Thanks. I am looking to upgrade my tires on my OEM rims and will probably downsize my wheels to 18" when my daughter goes to college and I can do more extensive travelling.
