I'm still waiting for the onion recipe, IT ROCKED!!!!!!!:bounce::bounce2::clap::beer:

It was Chad's creation, he gets 100% of the credit. I was just an innocent bystander but I will take a stab at the recipe:

Take a large vidalia onion and cut it into eighths from the end opposite the root, but don't cut all the way through. The root should still be barely holding it all together. (Picture a bloomin' onion with fatter blooms)

Wrap the onion in foil, and cook over coals until tender.

Melt one stick of butter, a baseball sized amount of brown sugar, and and some soy sauce (not sure of the amount).

Cut the root end off the onion and cook some more in the melted stuff until you can't take it any longer.

The end result is like an onion petal soup.

Make sure you are sitting down before taking your first slurp. It is better than crack.

Great story:popcorn:. i found it from a link. read through it all,and enjoyed every bit. although i've been to and through most places mentioned, its never been in the cruiser. on the list for sure.
glad you got to do it with your dad and son. its doing things like this, and being in those places that create a bonding that cannot be described with words.
as an "Okie" growing up,i'm glad to hear"my people" are upholding the tradition to always help one in need. i always pull over to ask if i can help, although most people have already called for help on their cell phones these days.
thanks for the great read:cheers:
