I've found that my EMS exhaust has one characteristic I do not care for - it drones between 45-50mph. Any other speed is fine, the sound is great. My 80 is my DD and a good long part of my commute is, of course, 45-50mph. :frown: Also I still have some whistle at times.

I was looking at some other mufflers primarily to quiet it down a bit. If I recall, the EMS muffler is an Aero. I saw this Aero 2525XL Resonated Muffler which combines the resonator into the muffler. Some sound clips I found sounded pretty decent.

Baktash, any experience or words of wisdom? or anyone else have thoughts on this?

We haven't tried that particular one. But judging from the size of the muffler walls, it may be louder. The one we use on our exhaust currently is the Aero 217.

Chef J was kind enough to reach out to me and let me know what he did - put a resonator in the section after the axle. I am going to go this route as well.
