Over $500 for a new radiator. :crybaby: I will drop it off there tomorrow for a flow test and to have them rod it out and clean and reseal for $75.

Thanks Jesse.

Report from D&T is that radiator flow was terrible but that it's the original brass unit and a rod-out will restore to near new condition. :)

j/k
Hope this is the end of the "radiator trail" for you.

Ha HA ha.....Danny! OK people, what part/system on my cruiser do you think I should try to improve next??

The loose nut behind the wheel!

True....so true! We all have our callings in life. Someday I'll realize mechanical sheeet really isn't mine. I promised myself I'd get through this w/o Aric coming to the rescue. I'm getting close to the end. Good thing I started in the Springtime.:D

Hell ya, Denny at D&T was great. He even painted it so it looks brand new. $75 and good to go. I did not install the T-stat(figured I might break something else) so it is a cold runner. I will re-install the T-stat after the run. so it is time- Never mind the mules going blind-just load the wagon!! ;)

The rig will never warm up and run rich consuming mass quantities of refined dinosaur goo.
I would install the t-stat, stat! Well, I would if I was there and since I am not, Chris, you should. :D

Tough Titty said the Kitty! I ain't touching anything until after Mcgrew is behind me! Besides, why not be Rich- HeII I've been Poor all my life?:meh:

The truck will only be running rich until it gets to temperature.... in 95 degree heat crawling on the trail it WILL get to temperature and most likely it will on every drive you take with it til the end of summer. It may take a little longer but it really isnt a concern until fall. Then you will run rich and not have any heater! You got a solid month or two to get it back in. Now if it was a newer fuel injected rig it might be another story but your FI is about as crude as it gets...maybe one step above a carb. I mean, do you know of ANY other car that has a factory manual choke on a fuel injected engine?
